Marcel André Mouloudji (1922-1994), simply Mouloudji, born in Paris to an Algerian father and a Breton mother in a very poor family, was a very successful French singer and actor. An icon of the artistic life of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in the fifties, he met Jean-Paul Sartre and sang Boris Vian and Jacques Prévert. A very engaging figure, his career lasted over six decades.
