Cakes reign but a Day.

Yolanda Lisi

Here are 4 songs performed by the unjustly forgotten singer Yolanda Lisi.
Born in Montréal (Québec), Miss Cinéma in 1954, Yolanda Lisi became famous in 1960 with the song "Un tiens vaut mieux que deux tu l'auras". Other hits include "Le goût de toi" (1963), "La plage" and "Tu brises mon coeur" (in 1965). She wins the year’s best singer award at the Festival du disque of 1965 (and again in 1966). That same year, she performs with Michel Legrand at the Comédie-Canadienne.
Gifted with a remarkable voice (and 3 and a half octaves), somehow reminiscent of Isabelle Aubret’s voice, a natural sense of melody, she can sing in several languages.
She has recorded 4 LPs and 16 EPs, for Decca, Quality, Sélect, RCA Victor, London, Lero, Columbia, Barclay and Apex.
Enjoy Yolanda Lisi’s sweet voice and style!
